The senior fight-hander threw a two-hit shutout and faced the minimum Monday night as the Rainbow Warriors beat the Wolf Pack 1-0 at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.
Kuzminsky (2-2) needed just 92 pitches to outduel Tyler Wells, walking one and striking out three.
Hawaii (9-11) manufactured a run in the first inning against Wells (0-3). Stephen Ventimilia singled to center, stole second, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on Kaeo Aliviado’s groundout.
Wells worked eight strong innings and struck out eight and allowed only two hits.
Hawaii won two straight to split the four-game series. Nevada had twice won in comeback fashion, scoring five runs in the eighth inning Friday and eight in the ninth Saturday.
